Adult Grief Support
Support Groups & Individual Counseling
Support groups offer a chance to meet with others to find support and understanding for the challenges of life after loss. Pathways of Hope is the grief support service provided by Hospice of Dayton to anyone who has lost a loved one. Professionally licensed counselors or social workers lead Pathways of Hope grief support groups. Pre-registration is not required. The following groups meet regularly unless the meeting day falls on a holiday.
Drop-In Grief Support Groups are open to anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one.
Monday Night Drop-In Grief Support
- Where: Pathways of Hope at Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton
- When: 7:30—8:30pm Every Monday except holidays
West Carrollton Drop-In Grief Support Group
- Where: West Carrollton Church of the Nazarene, 550 South Elm St.
- When: Second and Fourth Wednesday of the Month, 10:00—11:00am
Walking through Grief widow and widower grief support groups are open to anyone in the community who is coping with the loss of a spouse. These groups meet as follows:
- North Walking Through Grief Group
- Where: Salem Church of God, 6500 Southway Rd., Clayton
- When: First and Third Tuesday, 6:30—8:00pm
- Thursday Morning Walking Through Grief Group
- Where: Pathways of Hope at Hospice of Dayton
- When: First and Third Thursday, 9:00—10:30am
- Xenia Walking Through Grief Group
- Where: Xenia Grace Chapel, 100 Grace Drive, Xenia
- When: Second and Fourth Tuesday, 6:30—8:00pm
- Wednesday Night Walking Through Grief Group
- Where: Pathways of Hope at Hospice of Dayton
- When: First and Third Wednesday, 6:30—8:00pm
Memories of Mom (M.O.M) provides grief support for those who have lost their mother
- Where: Pathways of Hope at Hospice of Dayton
- When: First and Third Tuesday, 6:00—7:30pm
Living With the Loss of an Adult Child is open to any parent who has experienced the death of an adult child.
- Where: Pathways of Hope at Hospice of Dayton
- When: Second and Fourth Wednesday, 6:45—7:45pm
